Attention golfers! On November 10th the first annual Dye Hard Cup will be played in Casa de Campo! This new golf tournament will be held across six days on the resort’s 4 famous golf courses designed by the legendary Pete Dye, with 90 players battling it out on all 90 holes with a winner-takes-all prize of US$90,000!
The festivities will kick off on Sunday, November 10th, with a welcome reception at The Beach Club by Le Cirque, the resort’s leading restaurant and lounge, located on Minitas Beach, overlooking the Caribbean sea. Early arrivals will be able to play practice rounds on any of the courses that day.
Along with Teeth Of The Dog—the number-one course in the Caribbean according to Golf Digest—the Dye Hard Cup will be played on the three breathtaking nines of the Dye Fore (27 holes in total), spread along cliffs high above the Chavón River, and The Links in-land course reminiscent of traditional British and Scottish golf courses with a moderately hilly track and several lagoons and lakes. Also included is the La Romana Country Club course, another of Dye’s devilishly beautiful designs.

Just as exciting is the format, which is open to both professionals and amateurs: 90 holes played as an individual gross stroke-play competition with one contestant pocketing the whole US$90,000.
The number of holes in each round will correspond to the number of holes on each Casa de Campo course: The opening round is 27 holes on the La Romana Country Club course. The second round at Dye Fore is also 27 holes. Round three is 18 holes on The Links. And the final 18 is on Teeth Of The Dog – the ultimate test.
“We are looking forward to hosting some tremendous golfers for six days of great competition and camaraderie,” said Peter Bonell, Chief Marketing Office. “Their talents will be challenged by the beautiful but difficult tests that Pete Dye has blessed us with at Casa de Campo.”
