Next Saturday the 14th of March 2015, the Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima and the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Culture invite you to a magical ballet performance at the Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima in La Romana, where everyone will enjoy a wide range of shows performed by the Dominican National Ballet.
In recent years, the Dominican National Ballet have blow us away with their grace and talent. In 2011, they brought the Nutcracker Suite to the Altos de Chavón amphitheater, while in 2012 we enjoyed both “A los cuatro vientos” and the “Colors of the Dance”, and also in 2014 they performed the breathtaking ballet “The Fall Dance”. All were outstanding. This time they will deploy their talents for the first time in the Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima in La Romana.
This is an event for the whole family and the best way to appreciate the rich Dominican culture, so we want to encourage both the La Romana community and the Casa de Campo community to support this cultural activity.
The Dominican National Ballet will present seven shows for the enjoyment of the general public, including; “Hay un país …”, a tribute to Pedro Mir, a great Dominican writer and poet.
Entrance to this event is free – please spread this word and go with all your family and friends to enjoy a wonderful evening at the Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima.

Dominican National Ballet at the Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima
When: Saturday 14th of March, 5:30pm
Where: Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima
The Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima is on the left immediately as you cross the bridge over the Salao river entering La Romana. It is a white building which looks a little like a fortress (hence the former name – La Fortaleza). To get to it you need to be on the side of the roadheading back out of La Romana, before crossing the bridge you turn right and cross over the railway tracks.
We look forward to seeing you there!
