Each month we get together to celebrate Café de la Leche in support of the children of Hogar del Niño, and this FRIDAY, December 11th is no different except that it marks the final event of its kind for the year, Christmas Café de la Leche, and boy is it going to be spectacular!
As always, the holiday edition of Café de la Leche is hosted by Xiomara de Menéndez, founder of Hogar del Niño, in her Casa de Campo home in Bahía Minitas. With festive holiday decorations abound and merriment far and wide, it is no wonder why community members express this event as one of their favorite of the year.
Serving homemade eggnog, the traditional Dominican “ponche,” sangria and delicious treats, there is no where else to be this weekend to enjoy a lovely end of the year celebration and be surrounded by the generosity of the Casa de Campo community. Guests are asked to bring chocolate and candies for the Hogar del Niño’s Christmas party in lieu of milk.
In years past, the choir at Hogar del Niño has beautifully sung songs and Christmas carols that wowed attendees with their talent and helped showcase how meaningful your donations are to their grow, success, and future.
