The last sunset of the summer will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018 and with it comes a great party in Casa! Casa de Campo Resort invites you to say goodbye to the summer in style with their party “Chasing the last sunset of summer” at Minitas Beach Club.
That same day is the autumn equinox, where the night and day are nearly exactly the same length – 12 hours – all over the world. This is the reason it’s called an “equinox,” derived from Latin, meaning “equal night.”
Since it will be a longer day and night, it is the perfect opportunity to spend it with friends and say goodbye to the summer and hello to the new season! This event will offer a unique gastronomic proposal for the occasion, accompanied by a fun atmosphere full entertainment including local and international DJ’s, as well as live performances by the Grammy-nominated Dominican merenhouse trio Ilegales and Piso 21 a Colombian Latin pop musical group.
“This first activity in our new Minitas Beach Club will offer the community an unforgettable day celebrating the end of summer,” says Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, President of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas.
SAVE THE DATE for what promises to be an off the charts EXTRA-long day of celebration!
The merenhouse group Los Ilegales was formed in the Dominican Republic by frontman/producer Vladimir Dotel, Victor Waill, Manuel Tejada and Roger Sanchez. The group became one of the most popular groups in Central and South America, especially big in Venezuela, Mexico, Chile and Spain. From their debut album, the single “La Morena (Burn It Up)” became a huge hit in 1995. Their second album Rebotando was also popular, thanks to the single “El Taqui Taqui.” The Remixes collection followed in 1998, as did En la Mira.
We are sure you remember their performance last year during the Charity Cup after-polo party, where they had everybody dancing with their best hit songs such as “Chucuchá” and “Pasarla bien” in addition to their all-time classics “La Morena” and “Fiesta Caliente”, among others.
Piso 21 is a Colombian pop and reggaetón music group formed in Medellín in 2007. Its name is a tribute to the place where they started- the 21st floor of a building in Medellín where they used to get together and write songs.
The group is formed by Pablo Mejía (Pablito), Juan David Huertas (The Profe), David Escobar (Dim) and Juan David Castaño (El Llane). They began with romantic pop songs like: Vagones vacíos, Ángel mortal, Correr el riesgo (feat. Maluma), among others. Thanks to their first album released in 2012, they were nominated for the Latin Grammy Award that same year. throughout the years they have adopted a more urban style in their music, although conserving their romantic essence.
