Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – home to the Caribbean’s premier, luxury golf experiences, including the iconic Teeth of the Dog course – will be hosting the finals of the annual “Invited Clubs Chef of the Year” competition in a culinary celebration, on October 11-16, 2022.
The annual “Chef of the Year” competition draws from more than 200 golf clubs with over 2,000 nominations. Hassan Bakhdoud from TPC Piper Glen was named “Chef of the Year” last year after a week of delicious hosted lunches and dinners demonstrating the epicurean talents of five semifinalists.
This year will be the second edition where the competition is hosted outside the US. and the five finalists are Chef Michael Dobias from White Columns Country Club, Dan Vigliotti from Hartefeld National, Eric Yeager from Ford’s Colony Country Club, Cathy Michaud from The Clubs of Kingwood and Josh O’Neill from Indigo Run Country club.
At the time of its founding in 1957, Invited (formerly ClubCorp) was known for being a business disruptor and pioneer that redefined the private club industry. The vision of founder Robert H. Dedman was to create private clubs where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, race, religion, or background. He died in 2002, but his legacy lives on in our ClubLife family of clubs and many of his philosophies are practiced to this day.
