The Clinica de Familia La Romana (Family Clinic) is a nongovernmental and nonprofit organization which provides health care services, with a family-centered methodology for over 15 years. We work with the most vulnerable populations in the community of La Romana and much of the eastern region. Our Hope and Joy Camp is part of the programs and activities we do, which provides children and adolescents living with HIV incredibly fun and recreational activities, three daily meals, support and unconditional love and a space where they will be able to enjoy everything without discrimination or stigma for two weeks.
For over 10 years the Clinica de Familia La Romana carefully prepares for Camp Hope and Joy. From designing the motto by which the activities are developed around, the logo, every little detail is taken into consideration so that everything is ready for the children. They are able to achieve all this thanks to the contributions and donations of all the selfless people who are concerned about the well-being of the children in this region.
This year we have the special collaboration of Almacenes Iberia, who have allowed us to place a banner, along with a list of items in their customer service department plus an announcement on the store’s speakers, inviting customers to see our work and get motivated to help us by donating to this cause.
