Have you heard? Onno’s has a new brick oven pizza and a new chef to work it! The 21st of March was the first day the favored Altos de Chavón restaurant presented its new addition. Friends and loyal customers came to be part of the experience.
New chef, Carlos Luis Chepellin presented his take on different pizzas and a fine panel of judges were put to the welcomed task of tasting and judging various crusts and versions of sauce. Chef Carlos’ margarita sauce was highly praised by the audience and a thin crispy crust chosen. Plus, a special new addition to the pizza menu comes in the form of a blue cheese pizza with nuts and honey! Very unusual and so so yummy.
More than pizza, Onno’s presented two other dishes, “Tuna Ceviche” and “Diablo Shrimp,” which was my personal favorite for its crunchiness with a bit of spiciness added to it. As always, Onno’s has a terrific atmosphere where you can casually meet up friends and enjoy a great evening. Go have your own pizza experience with their new brick oven!
