An iconic landmark of Casa de Campo and the Dominican Republic, the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater has drawn some of the world’s biggest stars to its open-air stage. Designed by Italian artist Roberto Coppa in 1976, this 5,000-seat Greek-style amphitheater opened with a flourish on August 20, 1982, hosting the legendary Concert for the Americas with Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Heart and Carlos Santana.

A Global Stage in the Heart of Chavón

Set at the center of Altos de Chavón, a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village, the amphitheater has become one of the most famous venues in the Caribbean. Over the past 30 years, it has welcomed more than 163 concerts, attracting international stars and Dominican legends alike.

Audiences have filled its stone steps to see performances by Andrea Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, Sergio Mendes, Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony, Luis Miguel, Michel Camilo, Spyro Gyra and Duran Duran. Dominican icons such as Juan Luis Guerra, Fernando Villalona and Wilfrido Vargas have also graced the stage, connecting local culture with global talent.

Today, the amphitheater continues to host concerts that draw fans from around the world.
