The inaugural Latin American Fashion Awards, founded by Latin American fashion icons Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello, will pay tribute to the cultural and artistic influence of Colombian-born artist J Balvin, naming him Latin Fashion Icon of the Year. The ceremony, set to take place on Saturday, November 4, will also feature a sensational halftime performance by the global superstar, celebrating Latin American culture and setting the stage ablaze.

The event will unfold at the iconic Altos de Chavón Amphitheatre in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic.

Leslie Grace, an acclaimed actress and singer with Dominican roots, will lend her vocal prowess to the evening’s entertainment and co-host the ceremony with Colombian movie star Sasha Calle. Together, they will reveal the winners in the 14 award categories. The awards ceremony will also host an array of rising stars in the fashion industry, including designers like Raúl Lopez, Willy Chavarría, Johanna Ortiz, Stella Jean, Elena Velez, and Daniela Villegas, alongside fashion influencers and photographers.

The international jury for the Latin American Fashion Awards features prominent personalities such as designer Haider Ackermann, CFDA CEO Steven Kolb, ELLE USA Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia, and supermodel and activist Indya Moore, among others.

The Latin American Fashion Awards will also bestow recognition in 13 distinct award categories, honoring outstanding achievements in the field. These include awards for Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year, Emerging Designer/Brand of the Year, Artisanal Project of the Year, Responsible Project of the Year, Accessories Brand of the Year, Fashion Film of the Year, Model of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year, Emerging Fashion Photographer of the Year, Fashion Artist of the Year, Dominican Republic Local Star, and Fashion Influencer of the Year.
