Tennis in Casa de Campo is a hot sport, and we’re not referring to the sunny courts. With the MIR tennis tournament and kids clinic that played recently during the MIR Family Weekend for Life 2016, and the 39th Casa de Campo International Tournament coming up on Thursday, September 1st, there’s plenty of reasons to keep your racket strings in good shape.

The international tournament will honor Emilio Vásquez, Casa de Campo’s Tennis Director for over 35 years. He also happens to be quite the distinguished player, having been inducted into the La Vega Sports Hall of Fame, La Romana Sports Hall of Fame, and the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. “The Great Cup” will bring more than 10 countries onto the courts to compete for it and the 2016 title, and is open to males and females in singles and doubles categories 21 years of age and older. The tournament will play eight pro-set games until the quarterfinals with a tie break in seven equals, beginning September 1st at 9:00 am and final matches on September 4th at 8:00 am. La Terraza Tennis Center will host a closing party the night before the finals.
