XXVIII Hogar del Niño Weekend All Set for Feb. 15

The Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO) is set to host the 28th annual Hogar del Niño Weekend on Feb. 15, 2025, at La Romana Country Club. This highly anticipated fundraising event supports the Hogar del Niño, an educational and daycare center that provides essential services to over 2,000 children in La Romana.

A Day of Sports and Community Engagement

The event will feature a variety of activities, including golf, tennis, padel and pickleball tournaments, along with a yoga session by Victoria Giha. A special kids’ camp hosted by WAO Lab by Kids Create will offer engaging activities for younger participants. Adults can also participate in a padel clinic led by Matías Territoriale and a Sip & Paint session with Eva Matos.

WAO Market and Sunset Celebration

The WAO Market bazaar, held in the trophy hall from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., will showcase brands such as Anna Redman, Pablo Blanco Palma and Larimar Swim, among others. The day will conclude with a sunset cocktail gathering at 5:30 p.m., providing attendees a chance to unwind and celebrate the event’s impact.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

Funds raised during the event directly benefit the Hogar del Niño, which offers education, medical and dental care, and vocational training to children in need. The center also provides specialized education for visually and hearing-impaired students, ensuring inclusive opportunities for all.
