On Friday the 26th of December Windrose Airlines’ Airbus A330-200 landed at the La Romana Airport, Casa de Campo carrying 310 passengers all the way from the Boryspil International Airport, in Kiev, the capital city of the Ukraine!
La Romana Airport gave a big welcome to Captain Viktor Tkachenko and his crew, who after more than 12 hours in the air, were delighted to be welcomed by a traditional water salute and by Andrés Fernández, commercial, Airport & Port Manager for Central Romana.
Welcomed by the beautiful Dominican sunshine, the crew of 24 people (an unusually high number required by Ukrainian air regulations on flights of more than 9 hours), posed with Andres in front of the Airbus A330-200.
