Attention Casa de Campo community! The Casa de Campo Polo Challenge is back and will be held from January 15th to April 16th, 2022. The first game will take place this Saturday, January 15th starting at 2 pm at the Casa de Campo Polo fields.
Last year’s Summer Polo Challenge 2021 was exceptionally great, with great matches all around, including the Friendship Cup Tournament dedicated to Dr. José López which resulted in La Potranca team winning the finals and lifting the Friendship Cup, and we are sure this season will be even better!
The 2022 season brings us five Cups:
Silver Cup: January 15th – February 5th (8-10 goals) Initiation Cup: February 5th – 19th ( 0-4 goals, 4 chukkers) Gold Cup: February 19th – March 12th (8-10 goals) Saphire Cup: March 12th – March 26th ( 0-4 goals, 4 chukkers) Casa de Campo Open March 26th – April 16th (8-10 goals)
The first cup of the season will see eight teams compete for the Silver Cup featuring the best polo players; the Casa de Campo La Suiza, McDonalds 3J Team, La Carmelia, La Carbuccia, Costasur, La Romanza -40 Goles, La Espada- La Bienvenida, and Ganadera Nepora.
The Casa de Campo Polo Challenge is being organized by Dr. Fernando Arata, Casa de Campo’s Polo Director who has predicted that this year’s Casa de Campo Polo Challenge will be a success and that it will become a must-see event for all Dominicans, foreigners, and the general public.
All people attending the games are advised to follow safety guidelines such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and the use of hand sanitizers. The hotel has done an outstanding job of keeping all areas safe for us but it is also our duty to help stop the spread of the virus.
