Wao Gallery & Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ecuador in the Dominican Republic, will present the exhibition of Ecuadorian artist Eddie Mosler, known for his bold and gestural strokes that evoke the overwhelming energy created by galaxies, stars, and planets, starting from June 17, 7 pm at WAO Gallery in Altos de Chavón.

“Multicolored Universe” is a unique creation by the artist. This captivating collection transcends the conventional boundaries of art to immerse us in a cosmic journey full of color, energy, and mystery.

This exhibition consists of 29 pieces created by the artist that invites us to immerse ourselves in the magic of art and explore our inner universe. Each artwork is a portal to infinite possibilities, where imagination runs wild, and beauty is found in every corner. This collection reminds us that art is a personal journey and that we can find a profound connection with the cosmos surrounding us through color and energy.

In this exhibition, Mosler seeks to channel the depths of the universe and explore the connection between color and the origin of our existence. “Each artwork is a window to a vast cosmic landscape, where bursts of pigments and fluid forms intertwine in a sinuous dance of vitality and emotion,” the artist tells us.

Color is the primary language of this collection, and Mosler handles it masterfully. From intense and saturated tones to subtle gradations, each hue uniquely reminds us of emotions and sensations. Fiery reds, deep blues, bright greens, and bright yellows intertwine in a whirlwind of shades that transport us beyond our everyday reality into a realm of awe and wonder.

The artist says, “We discover a rich texture and dimension that defy our perception as we explore the artworks. Using diverse materials and techniques brings a three-dimensional universe to life, where forms emerge and dissolve in a constant play of light and shadow. Vigorous brushstrokes and expressive strokes capture the essence of energy in motion, while layers of overlapping paint create depth and complexity.”

The exhibition will remain open from June 17 to July 17, 2023, from Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Sundays and Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and closed on Mondays.

About the artist:

Eddie Mosler was born in Quito, Ecuador on January 17, 1975. He began his first sketches at the early age of five. As a self-taught visual artist, his unique and original artistic vision and his abstract style have earned him recognition in Ecuador, America, and Europe. His collections have been outstanding, including Infinite Harmony, Astral Perception, Cosmic Contemplation, Expansion of Light, Dimensional Consciousness, Spirit of Gold, Auric Pyramid, Portal 22, and Portal 33.

In 2019, inspired by gold, a metal appreciated by ancient civilizations, Mosler developed the “Spirit of Gold” collection, incorporating his “Activated Gold” technique, oil, acrylic, fire, and other elements. It represents a creative atmosphere where he acknowledges the presence of divinity and its connection with human beings.

On September 27, 2020, Eddie launched his collection “Auric Pyramid” at an event held for “World Healing” at the “Middle of the World” monument in Ecuador for the whole planet. It was an event where he presented the properties and benefits of his art in the processes of healing and connection with the universe.

“Throughout my artistic career, I have focused on the origin of color. As a result of this work, portals have manifested to me, and I have been able to design dimensional structures to have a better connection with the universe. This connection guides me to create the design of an artistic structure for astral ascension and the auric frequency for the evolution of humanity in light. This artistic structure is based on an auric creation portal composed of nine auric colors, nine geometric figures, and nine pillars of light connected with the frequency of Astral Gold in the 17th dimension.”
