With the assistance of international entrepreneurs and professional polo players, a friendly game of polo was recently played in Casa de Campo, with Doña Dominga wines as sponsor.
The game was played in honor of Ignacio Vial, the commercial manager of Casa Silva in Latinamerica and the Caribbean, who was visiting the Dominican Republic. The Casa Silva vineyard based in the Colchagua Valley, has an impressive four family generation heritage, and is one of the most revered vineyards in Chile.
Taking part in the game was; Cyril Meduna, a Chilean entrepreneur from Puerto Rico; Rafael Perez Diez, Puerto Rican entrepreneur and an excellent polo player who has competed internationally in England, Chile and Argentina; Carlitos Cortes a professional Colombian player now based in Dominican Republic and Ignacio Vial, who is also a professional polo player from Chile.
The Doña Dominga portfolio of wines is oriented to the red variety, and are typically affordable with an accent of mature fruit.
With more than three decades in existence, during the last 15 years, wines Dona Dominga have received many important distinctions, most notable in the Catad’Or Hyatt awards when in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2007, it was the vineyard that received the highest number of prizes.
Doña Dominga wines are distributed in 50 markets all around the world, amongst the most important are theUnited kingdom, Brazil, USA, Southeast Asia and is now being introduced into new markets in Latin America, such as the Dominican Republic.
