Love is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than crafting with heart? On February 10, join WAO Chavón for a delightful Valentine’s Day event immersed in the art of crochet, guided by the skilled hands of Marina Gelati. This enchanting occasion not only nurtures creativity but also supports the noble cause of Madres Maravillas 2.0.

Crochet, an age-old craft, offers more than just creative expression; it provides a therapeutic outlet for individuals to unwind and connect with their artistic side. From enhancing fine motor skills to promoting mindfulness, the benefits of crochet extend beyond the finished product, offering a meditative experience for participants of all skill levels.

The Madres Maravilla project empowers single mothers in need of financial support. They gather weekly, engaging in activities, using materials, and accessing resources designed for integration, activation, and transformation. Additionally, each group member shares in the responsibility for the well-being and success of their peers, contributing individual resources that, when combined, create greater shared value among all. A team of human resources, entrepreneurship and mental health experts accompanies their progress.

With a modest contribution starting from RD$1,000.00, participants can access an immersive crochet workshop where materials are provided. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, promising a morning filled with laughter, learning and a shared passion.
