LAMA motorcycle

LAMA motorcycleLast Friday the 12th of April, the Casa de Campo resort, the Marina Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón were visited by a group of more than 200 motorcyce enthusiasts of the L.A.M.A (Latin American Motorcycle Association). Having already toured across the Dominican Republic, the group decided to visit Casa de Campo, zooming first up to Altos de Chavón and then on to the Marina Casa de Campo for lunch at Limoncello and Chinois. Helmets, leather boots, sunglasses (all in black) plus a vest with the LAMA “International Rally Dominican Republic” logo of two yellow wings and the Dominican flag – was clearly the group’s uniform! But although the group looked a little intimidating at first – they were a fun bunch who fell in love with Casa de Campo! LAMA motorcycle In Altos de Chavón they visited the St. Stanislaus church and the main plaza, where they took the opportunity to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful view across the Chavón river. Somewhat a tourist attraction themselves, many Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and tourists approached the group to be photographed with them – something they were all more than willing to do! A few members of our Silgon Inc. team even took the opportunity to take a photo with them – and Laura (our designer) even climbed onto one of the bikes for a snap!

The VIP parking lot in Altos de Chavon brimmed with all the motorcycles parked next to each other, all in different sizes, colors and brands – it was quite a sight! And when the time came for the motorcyclists to leave Altos de Chavón for the Marina Casa de Campo, they left one by one, leaving us with just the noise of the engines ringing in our ears. Thank you for visiting! We hope to see you again one day!
