The Uwescuba Dive Center on the Paseo del Mar in the Marina Casa de Campo is owned by Uwe Rath, whose diving and teaching skills are based on more than 30 years experience working and teaching in recreational, mixed gas and overhead diving environments in the Dominican Republic and around the world. A PADI Tec Rec and TDI Instructor Trainer, he is specialized in training advanced divers for deep staged decompression dives such as wreck and cave dives – and is in fact one of only 2 instructors in the entire Dominican Republic with this specialized qualification.

Uwe and his team are also experts in teaching beginner, novice and intermediate divers. “Discover Diving” courses are available as an introduction to the world of diving, as well as the PADI certification courses and the more advanced courses TDI and PADI Tec Rec for technical wreck and cave diving.
You may be surprised to learn that the La Romana – Bayahibe area (of which Casa de Campo is part of) has some of the most beautiful diving in the Caribbean!
There is something for all levels of divers to enjoy from complete beginners to the technically advanced. In the crystal clear Caribbean waters just outside of the Marina Casa de Campo you’ll find the wreck of infamous pirate Captain Kidd, the Atlantic Princess Wreck and the St George Wreck, as well as caves and caverns and natural and artificial reefs, all brimming with exotic marine life such as turtles, manta rays and even harmless nursesharks!
