Regional Museum of Archeology Altos de Chavon

The Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archaeology has just announced its schedule for the next few weeks and we have some great activities to look forward to! These activities include a seminar about cultural and archaeological Bayahibe, a Cinema Forum with the movie “Vida de Coco Chanel” (Coco Chanel’s life) and an exhibition of El Cabo San Rafael.

The Bayahibe conference will discuss Bayahibe’s cultural and archaeological worth and its importance in tourism. It used to be unknown, but with the help of the local and international community, Bayahibe is now blossoming.

The Cinema Forum will screen the movie “Vida de Coco Chanel” and watch how the renowned designer Coco Chanel (Gabrielle Bonheur) made her way from an orphanage into the wonderful world of fashion.

Studies and archaeological discoveries made in El Cabo San Rafael will be explained at the exhibition by the University of Leiden. The exhibition will be organized jointly by the Regional Archaeology Museum of Altos de Chavón and the University of Leiden of the Netherlands.

We hope to see you there!
