The weekend kicks off on Friday with a Fun Independence Day Party for Kids. Bring your children to this fun costume party and celebration of Dominican Independence. They can participate in patriotic crafts, face painting, and games typical of Dominican culture.
On Saturday, enjoy the Petting Zoo at the Equestrian Center. Live the experience of interacting with fun animals and let your child nurture love for them. Afterward, head to Playa Minitas for some Family Fun Games at the Beach. You can join in on typical Dominican games such as “El Pañuelo” or “El Topao Paralizao” with our Family Program team.
If you’re looking for fresh produce, take advantage of the Farmer’s Market at the Fountain area in Altos de Chavon. And for the kids, there’s also the National Values Workshop at the Chavon Museum to learn about Patriotic Values.
In the afternoon, experience the excitement of the Polo British Cup Finals, a Polo Tournament for the benefit of Hogar del Niño y Save the Children. Afterward, head over to La Caña Lounge for a Dominican Night, where you can dance to the sound of our dancers in typical costumes, enjoy live music, a Dominican rum tasting, handmade cigars, and more!
On Sunday, join in on some more Family Fun Games at La Palapa, Minitas Beach, or relax in preparation to dance the night away at Altos de Chavón.
Celebrate Dominican Independence with a Fun Dominican Independence Day Party at Plaza Chavon, with live music, typical food, dancers, a video booth, fireworks, and many more surprises.
