The Altos de Chavón Art Gallery debuted its latest exhibition, Universo Ecológico, on April 25, 2025, welcoming guests for an evening of vibrant art, live music and environmental reflection. Created by Dominican artist Germán García, the show invites visitors to reconnect with nature through a multi-sensory experience designed to awaken both thought and feeling.
Immersive Art With a Message
Spread across two gallery levels, García’s work merges visual art, sound and organic materials into installations that ask viewers to consider their place in the natural world. Throughout the night, guests explored the exhibit at their own pace, wine in hand, taking in the textures, colors and ambient sounds that brought the artist’s message to life.
“This is a sensory invitation to reconnect with the environment and become aware of our impact on it,” García said during a “Meet the Artist” session. His words echoed the heart of the show, which encourages ecological awareness through creative expression.

Music, Bites and Community Vibes
Live violin music added warmth and elegance to the evening, while themed finger foods — each thoughtfully crafted to reflect the exhibit’s natural motifs — offered guests a taste of García’s artistic vision. The atmosphere blended reflection with celebration, turning the gallery into a space where culture, conversation and community met.
Don’t Miss It
Universo Ecológico remains on view at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery through May 14, 2025. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are available on-site.
