About “Valduero Crianza” wine
The Valduero vineyard and family business was founded in 1984 in the Ribera del Duero, one of the most prestigious wine regions in Spain and at that time was one of only 5 or 6 wineries in the area.
Valduero Crianza 2007, is a classic of the Ribera del Duero made from the Tinto Fino grape using the traditional method of winemaking, which ages the wine for 15 months in French oak barrels and an additional 12 months in the bottle. This dark, earthy, tannic red is bold and full bodied. Substantial barrel tannins need some air before revealing an inner core of black cherry fruit character. Decant this one in the morning and serve it for dinner. Otherwise, cellar this one for several years and enjoy it over the next decade or more.
