Great news! We’ve just heard that the next Café de la Leche charitable gathering in aid of the Hogar del Niño, daycare and education center in La Romana will be held at the Tracadero Beach Club in Bayahibe on Friday the 10th of August!
Starting from 5pm, the ladies of Casa de Campo, La Romana, Bayahibe and Dominicus will enjoy tropical fruit cocktails, coffee and tea, as well as a selection of special picadera prepared by Chef Paolo, Tracadero’s talented Italian chef, whilst they explore this exquisite oceanside venu, and watch the sunset over the ocean!
“We decided to support this event as we admire all the Hogar del Niño charity does for the children of La Romana – we have been waiting to host a Café de la Leche event for more than a year now and we are very pleased that our turn has finally arrived!
As we are located outside of Casa de Campo, we have invited a number of ladies based in the Bayahibe – Dominicus area and we hope that this will raise the profile of the Café de la Leche events and hope the charity gain new supporters from this area.
We look forward to seeing everyone here – and if anyone would like to join us for dinner after the event, they would be more than welcome!”
— Marcella Terrone, Tracadero Beach Resort
For those ladies travelling from Casa de Campo to the event, transport is being sponsored by Tropical Tours – but space on the “Guagua” (bus) is limited, so make sure you reserve in advance (809 523-8901). The cost of transport is RD$350 per person (return) and departs from the offices of the Patronato Benefico Oriental in La Romana (close to the Jumbo supermarket).

A busy weekend…..
It looks like this is going to be another busy weekend in Casa de Campo! Remember that also taking place on Friday evening the 10th of August is the inauguration of the new art exhibit “Buscando Esencias” by Emiliana Larizzo, featuring the fashion designs of Jenny Polanco, which starts from 7pm at the Altos de Chavón art gallery, so we hope you “get your skates on” and are able to join us at this opening, as well as the Café de la Leche! AND don’t forget that Saturday the 11th of August, is the Fundación MIR Family Weekend fundraising event with tennis and golf tournaments as well as dinner-dance on Minitas Beach! So many fun events in just one weekend! For a complete schedule of events remember to check: www.todo.fm
