More than 10 years since her last concert in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rican singer, Ednita Nazario, a fan of Casa de Campo, is finally returning to the delight of her thousands of Dominican fans. With a show named “SOY” (I am), Ednita Nazario will be performing on Tuesday February 14th at the Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo.
It’s pretty impressive if we stop to think of the number of celebrities who have, over the years visited and enjoyed Casa de Campo, especially those who have visited us in the last few months; the Puerto Rican actor Amaury Nolasco, Pitbull, Vin Diesel, Marc Anthony, the colombian actor Manolo Cardona, among others. Likewise, Ednita Nazario has also visited Casa de Campo, but only when it had recently opened in the mid 70’s.
However, it hasn’t been that long since the talented singer was last seen in the Dominican Republic…. there have been several other occasions; onetime she performed at the National Theatre in Santo Domingo to an audience of fans from across the country, and more recently, in 2008, she was invited by ACROARTE (the Dominican Art Critics Association) where she was honored with a “Casandra Award” (the Dominican version of the Oscars) as a well known and successful international artist.
It will be on Tuesday the 14th of February, only a few days after the worldwide release of her new single “Para el Peor Amante” , when Ednita Nazario will finally re-unite with her Dominican fans after more than 10 years – and we can’t wait!

So for those members of the Casa de Campo and La Romana communities who are eager to remember the good old days or those of you who, like me, who have grown up listening to all of her breath-taking songs, this Tuesday 14th of February is your opportunity to reminisce, enjoy and dance to some great music!
For many international artists, visiting and relaxing in Casa de Campo after performing massive concerts in the Dominican Republic, has become a well known tradition. So……will Ednita Nazario visit us in Casa de Campo afterwards?
That we really don’t know, but what we do know is that the “Puerto Rican Diva”, as many of us know her, is dying to meet our donkey Margarito, as well as visiting the village of Altos de Chavón and its amphitheatre!! Yup, she does know about us!
