The Team USA delegation won first place and the ‘Copa País’ of the 11th version of the DR Open Amateur 2021, an event that was held since Tuesday, October 5th and lasted until Saturday, October 9th at the Teeth of the Dog, The Links and Dye Fore of the Casa de Campo complex, where more than 110 players from various countries took part, an event organized by the Dominican Golf Federation FEDOGOLF, aimed at developing golf tourism in the Dominican Republic.

Erick Morales, from Puerto Rico, won the best gross score with 109 points, while Marien Núñez, from Team USA, was the best net with 114.

In category A, Tommy Smith, from Puerto Rico won the best groos score with 221. In Senior A, Oswaldo Rodríguez, from Team USA was the best with 251.

For his part, in category B, Francisco Alejandro Rodríguez, from Team USA, won. In Senior B, Luis Matos from the Dominican Republic was the best. While in C, Joel Aguilera Dominican Republic had the best score with 64.

Other winners

Rogerio Alba, from the Dominican Republic, won the Super Senior A with 80 points.

Super Senior B, Jean Pierre Nogues, from Guadalupe with 59 points.

Ladies A, Marianne Guay, from Guadalupe with 59.

Ladies B, Marie-Christine Calastrenq, from Guadalupe with 37.

The award ceremony and dinner took place at Minitas Beach, in Casa de Campo, where Fedogolf managers thanked the sponsoring brands that made possible the assembly of the event, which unites players from different countries in an atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship, which elevates golf tourism in the country.

Rafael Canario and Luis José Placeres were the directors of the event. The event had as main sponsors the Banco de Reservas and Mastercard, along with others.
