Taiwanese acrobatics and martial arts in Altos de Chavón!

The Taiwan Acrobatics Show took place last Saturday the 24th of October and was brought to Altos de Chavón, Casa de Campo by the Dominican Ministry of Tourism and the Central Romana Corporation for Casa de Campo villa owners, and employees of the Central Romana Corporation.

The audience were invited onto the stage during the show in the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater altos de chavon

The Taiwanese Acrobatics group wowed the Casa de Campo, La Romana audience with vibrant dance, death-defying balancing acts, hilarious audience participation, fire dancing, sexy contortionists and even illusionist tricks!

For many, the most memorable part of the show was a balancing act involving 4 champagne bottles and 7 chairs (maybe more…we lost count!!) The act went something like this: 1. Take 4 champagne bottles 2. Balance a chair on top of the bottles 3. Add another chair, and another, and another and another and then more chairs…. 4. Climb on top of the teetering tower of champagne bottles and chairs and tip yourself upside down

HELP!!

Here are photos of the great champagne and chairs balancing act:

NOTE: Please do not try this at home!
