With the assistance of renowned personalities of the social, business and cultural dome of the Dominican Republic and important international guests, the artist and director of the magazine, Mr. Oscar Abreu, put an ARTFORO circular magazine in the temporary exhibition hall of the Altos Chavón Gallery.

The presentation of the magazine was carried out within the framework of the opening of a collective exhibition of outstanding Dominican and international artists, such as Puerto Ricans Carlos Santiago, Carlos Romagüera and Félix Bonilla Gerena, in addition to the French Georges Thevenet. The Dominican Ramón Oviedo, Freddy Javier, Ney DíazH, Iris Pérez and Oscar Abreu himself also participated. The executives of the Gallery participated directly in the organization of the event; Sanil Mercedes, director and Raúl Miyar, curator who did an extraordinary museum and logistics work.

Oscar Abreu had his words of welcome, and he thanked with enthusiasm the support received from both the rector of the Chavón School of Design, Mr. Stephen Kaplan, as well as all the staff of the institution and the general public. The artists of Puerto Rico, Carlos Romaguera, Carlos Santiago and the French Georges Thevenet also spoke to the public who thanked the public for this great reception

“With this exhibition, the projection campaign of the Artforo Dominican Republic Fair 2019 officially begins, which will be presented at the Palace of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo from 10 to 15 December, as a posthumous tribute to the memory of Don Miguel Cocco for the great support he always provided to artists and the strengthening of art, culture and collecting in the country. Each one of the artists presents in this group, will have important participation in the mentioned fair ”, emphasized its director the artist Oscar Abreu.

Likewise, Raysa Polanco Macías, proofreader of the ARTFORO magazine, urged the public to read it and enjoy the interesting articles presented in it by the most renowned representatives of the country’s cultural area, and discovered all the information related to the fair project ARTFORO Dominican Republic will present next December.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until October 14. The toast was made possible by the auspices of Brugal, and the animation was provided by the Chocolate Duo courtesy of Casa de Campo.
