Today with absolute certainty we can announce that the hotel lobby is open and fully operational! In fact on my early morning foray about the new hotel area, I even witnessed the lobby being used by a guest – possibly the first guest to use the new lobby area!
The finished product is even more beautiful than I had expected and now that the final finishing touches have been added it is simply spectacular!
The paintings which I described in a previous post, by Jose Alejandro Alvarez have now been installed and lit – so that they make a perfect focal point to several of the new seating areas. These paintings are truly incredibly – so bright, bold and mesmerising, a fantastic finishing touch!
The ‘library’ area has now also been completed – with the addition of several shelves for books and magazines, and tables where guests can work on their laptops, enjoy a cup of coffee or read our favourite magazine – CasaLife!
The ‘smoking lounge’ has now also been installed and set up – the smoking lounge is just outside the lobby, and is an open-air area, surrounded by beautiful pot plants and tropical trees and of course comfortable Dedon furniture. The perfect place for guests to unwind after (or before) a journey!
