This year the Marina Casa de Campo welcomed the New Year with Milly Quezada, a popular Dominican merengue musician who performed for the gathered crowd of fans on the Plaza Portofino.
Appearing on stage just 15 minutes before midnight, Milly Quezada got the party started with her popular hit “Solo contigo”, followed shortly by the countdown to New Year – which the star’s gathered fans joined in chanting “1o,9…….2,1 – Happy New Year!”
As the festivities surrounding the strike of midnight died down, Milly Quezada continued her concert in the Plaza Portofino with “Aquí estoy yo”, as well as “Toma mi vida”, a duet originally recorded with the great Juan Luis Guerra.
For those who remained in the Marina Casa de Campo, the party continued through the night with DJ Miguel Vázquez, the son of Milly Quezada with a mix of hits from the 80’s, 90’s and today.
Before the Milly Quezada concert, many Casa de Campo villa owners and visitors enjoyed dinner at the restaurants surrounding the Plaza Portofino – as well as of course at La Casita on the Paseo del Mar.
