Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archeology invites you to participate in a Movie Forum being held on Thursday, June 27th, with the showing of “The Lost City” movie, the first directed by the Cuban-American actor Andy García.
The Lost City was filmed in Dominican Republic in 2005 – thanks to the fact that some areas of Santo Domingo, capital city of the Dominican Republic, has many similarities to Cuba, where the film is set.
In the movie, Fico Fellove (Andy García) is the owner of El Tropico a swanky nightclub in late 1950s Havana. Fico lives for his family and his music, but the harsh realities of dictator Batista´s regimen threaten to destroy both. Starring alongside Andy García is Dustin Hoffman, Inés Sastre and Bill Murray.
