On Thursday April the 28th, a new art exhibit ‘Artistas en Residencia Primavera’ was inaugurated at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery.  The new exhibit features the art work of Altos de Chavón’s current ‘Artists in Residence’ Alex Lumsden and Stacey Mohammed, as well as artwork by Dita Stepanova and Magno Larancuente, who though not currently part of the Artists in Residence program took part in the program a few years ago. To read more about the artists, click here! Featuring the artwork of 4 very distinct artists this exhibition is incredibly varied and unusual. During the inauguration event, the many guests were impressed by the excellent quality, variation and uniqueness of what was on display and as always were keen to chat to the artists themselves. For many, the best part of the art gallery openings is the opportunity to hear the artists talk about their art and tell you the story behind what they have created. As always the opening of the exhibit was a jolly occasion, attended by over 100 members of the Casa de Campo community, all pleased to see such an interesting collection of art. Here are my photos of everyone enjoying the evening: Photos of the art and more about the artists coming soon!
