Oh what a night! For the residents and villa owners of Casa de Campo, who took part in the Hogar del Niño weekend, the dinner-dance party at the La Romana Country Club on Saturday the 19th of February was a fun night of surprises! As the weather had been a little unpredictable, with a few bouts of unexpected rain, the dinner tables and party to celebrate the end of the Hogar del Niño Weekend were moved inside of the La Romana Country Club, which party planners Amelia Pereya and Malele Strofer had decorated beautifully! The entranceway was lined with with beautiful green plants that hung from the ceiling and lined the stairs whilst inside the main entrance was decorated with a magnificent centre piece and each table adorned with mini trees. It looked incredible and all plants had been donated by Costa Nurseries, which were then sold later in the night with all monies going to further plump up the Hogar del Niños takings for this fundraising event. Upon arrival, guests took part in a raffle to win a selection of prizes, enjoyed cocktails at the ‘Martini’ bar, mingled with other guests and were able to take their photo with the celebrity of the evening ‘Pitbull‘, who is a great supporter of the Hogar del Niño. When he was last in Casa de Campo he showed his support by joining Casa de Campo’s ladies at the Christmas Cafe de La Leche and this time at the dinner he was very friendly and more than happy to have his photo taken with anyone and everyone who asked…..he even gave me a quick kiss on the cheek which I was very excited about!
