Rapidly approaching is what we’ve all been looking forward to— Fundación MIR’s Family Day 2022! By now, we’re sure you’ve heard all the buzz relating to the upcoming affair and even received flyers, but if not, here’s an extra reminder for you to mark your calendars and come out to support our local charity.
On the 20th of August, the Fundación MIR will be celebrating their “Family Day”, a fundraising event that includes all kinds of fun activities, and all the profits go to the foundation that provides education and other basic necessities to children and families in need here in the Dominican Republic and more specifically in the local La Romana area.
The annual affair is also an excellent opportunity to have a great time with your family and friends in Casa de Campo, where residents, visitors, and villa owners will enjoy a fabulous day of golf, a tennis tournament, and a tennis clinic for kids, as well as the traditional dinner and awards ceremony.
The events will kick off the golf tournament at the La Romana Country Club course teeing off at 08:00 a.m, followed by a tennis clinic for kids at La Romana Country Club at 10:00 a.m.
The next event won’t take place until 8:00 p.m., where a fancy party with dinner and dancing will be held at Minitas Beach – the dress code is “tropical chic”, and awards will be given out for the day’s tournament contestants. The dinner is once again being sponsored by the Casa de Campo hotel, so we can expect a magnificent buffet of the finest cuisine the Casa de Campo kitchens have to offer… and after dinner, you can expect to dance the night away to a Dominican Orchestra band!
