This Saturday is Sábado Santa and the final of the 6th Annual Semana Santa Polo Tournament, which just happens to incorporate a bit of a party! Woohoo!

The 6th Annual Semana Santa Tournament has been being played on the Casa de campo polo fields over the last few weeks, beginning on Saturday the 9th of April. The best polo teams in the Dominican Republic have been playing in this coveted and prestigious tournament, which will end this upcoming Sábado Santa (Saturday the 23rd), with the grand final, which will be celebrated by a spectacular after party and prize giving ceremony.

The final match will begin at 3pm on the Casa de Campo Polo Fields, between the La Carbuccia and Tpago!

Following and during the final match spectators can expect to enjoy a fun afternoon, watching the exciting polo, whilst sipping on a glass of  Perrier Jouët champagne, Dewars 12 Scotch or a few bottles of Brahma Ice beer, provided by the event’s sponsors.

Last year, the celebrations for the 5th Semana Santa Polo Tournament  were incredible; we enjoyed some ferocious polo playing, cocktails, champagne, a fashion show, fireworks and the prize-giving ceremony – it was a party which continued long after dark! Let’s hope that this year can live up to our very fond (if slightly blurry) memories of last year!
