This Sunday the 7th of July, the golf course “Links”-one of the many excellent course worldwide created by Pete Dye- will host the the Central Romana “Fin de Zafra Golf Invitational”, hosted by the Cajuiles Golf Club to celebrate the end of Central Romana Corporation´s milling season 2013.
The Fin de Zafra Golf Invitational will tee off at 8am and will be played in “Best Ball in Pairs” format with a maximum handicap of 24. The best 3 scores will be awarded.
The organizers expect the participation of 60 players, including members of the Cajuiles Golf Club directed by Francisco Micheli, ex-President of the La Romana baseball team “Los Toros” and also Vice-President of Public Relations at the Central Romana Corporation, in addition to many other special guests.
Last year this tournament was celebrated in honor of all the hard work accomplished by two great members of the Central Romana Corporation; Orlando Deffer, former Vice-President of Industrial Operations and Dr. Francis Redman Cabral, former Vice-President of Agricultural Research, who had both just announced their retirement following many years of loyal service to the company, which is not only the largest private employer in the Dominican Republic, but also the the largest producer and exporter of sugar in the country.
On July the 22nd, the Central Romana “Fin de Zafra Golf Invitational”, hosted by the Cajuiles Golf Club will be taking place on Casa de Campo’s Links golf course to mark the end of the Central Romana Corporation’s 2011- 2012 milling season.
