The Dominican Republic achieved its greatest successes this year in the history of its participation in the FITUR tourism fair, where it had one of the most visited stands and agreements for billions of dollars were reached.

Since the fair began, on Wednesday the 18th, the country shone again and dazzled attendees with an impressive stand that highlights the country’s attributes; in which more than 50 companies linked to the national tourism sector are present. What most attracted attention was a space dedicated to an immersive experience of the Dominican Republic, where people can have a three-dimensional experience, entering the majestic beaches of the country, as well as the other tourist attractions of Quisqueya and an approach to the work of the Dominican artist Iván Tovar.

His work is characterized by volumetric and spatial shapes on a dark background, framed within surrealism, a style that he assumed while living in Paris, exhibiting alongside the great representatives of surrealism internationally.

Among the companies that will be participating in FITUR 2023 was Casa de Campo Resort and Villas and its president Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg who expressed his pride in being present at the tourism fair supporting the country and the Ministry of Tourism, also congratulating the Minister of Tourism David Collado and his team for the great work they have done together with the La Romana Bayahibe Hotel Association and the Central Romana. He also took the opportunity to present the new Premier suites, “For our most demanding clientele we just opened 64 Premier suites together with a VIP concierge area. In April we will be opening a luxury Spa. Our goal with this spa is that it is not only the best health and wellness spa in the Republic Dominican but one of the best in the world.”

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, expressed his satisfaction with the achievements at FITUR, after assuring that it is “without a doubt the most successful participation of the Dominican Republic in this important tourism fair in Spain and the world.”

Minister David Collado assured that this has been the most fruitful participation for the country in said fair, classified as the most important in the world in the sector. “Our goal is for the Dominican Republic to continue to be the benchmark in tourism for the continent, which is why we are going to continue innovating. The achievements in FITUR are tangible facts: greater connectivity and agreements that represent investments for millions of millions of dollars”, said Collado.
