In addition to ticket sales, the principle fundraising effort of the night is the live auction with auctioneer Pepe Fanjul – which will this year include 2 very special items – unique lifestyle travel experiences; one to Italy and the other to France! Here we allow Emilia and J.Pepe Fanjul, hostess and host, of this magnificence occasion to introduce this unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to you:
“This year, with the assistance of Claudio Silvestri and very special friends in the industry, we have created 2 fabulous luxury traveling lifestyle experiences, one in France and the other in Italy. Both vacations include stays, local cuisine, wine tasting, art and golf in some of the most extraordinary hotels in magical locations such as Paris, Bordeaux, Biarritz, France’s Cote d’Azur, Milan, Portofino, Florence, Lake Cuomo and Tuscany.
There are one-of-a-kind destinations participating for the first time, such as Sandy and Clara Safa’s exceptional 1,300 hectare estate, Domaine de Barbossi, the moste extensive in the French Riviera. Also in France, our friend Prince Robert of Luxemborg is opening to us the doors of his enchanting properties in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Graves area, Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion and Chateau Haut-Brion. In Italy, there is the visit to Massimo Ferragamo’s 800 year-old lovely Tuscan estate, Castiglion del Bosco , with more than 4,000 acres, just 12km from Montalcino.
Other very unique properties and restaurants have joined our efforts to create memorable trips for our supporters such as Fouquet’s Barriere, La Tour D’Argent, Alain Ducasse’s Jules Verne at the Tour Eiffel, Grand Hotel Bordeaux and Spa, Hotel Du Palais and Villa D’Este
Our friend, Maurizio Saccani at Orient Express Hotels – Italy, who has believed in our cause and supported us for many years, has designer other unique experiences at two of the company’s fabulous properties; Hotel Splendido in Portofino and Villa San Michele in Florence.”
