The British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic will celebrate the XXIV edition of the Royal Cup on Saturday, August 5th of this year.

The classic tournament, featuring a prestigious rotating cup inscribed with the winners’ names, will take place at the exclusive Teeth of the Dog golf course in Casa de Campo.

The president of BRITCHAM, Amauris Vásquez Disla, and the British Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, H.E. Mockbul Ali OBE provided the details of this event. They explained that the competition would start at 8:30 in the morning, with a scramble format for pairs in categories A, B, and C. In each category, the three lowest net scores will be awarded, along with the best gross score of the tournament.

Special prizes such as Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin will be awarded. There will be two hole-in-one opportunities this time, courtesy of Fiat and Club Car.

After the competition, the awards ceremony will occur, along with multiple raffles and courtesy gifts from the sponsoring companies and BRITCHAM. In addition, a replica of the famous Claret Jug, the trophy of the British Open Golf Championship, will be presented to the best gross score of the tournament as a tradition.

The British Ambassador, H.E. Mockbul Ali OBE, will perform the honorary tee-off to the Dominican Republic.
