bazaar navideno altos de chavonThe best word to describe the Bazaar Navideño (part 1), which took place last Saturday the 10th of December is……TRAGIC! Following literally months of hard work (sob!), the entire Bazaar Navideño, filled with sellers with the best quality products we have ever had in a Bazaar was quiet literally washed away!

Before the rain: What a beautiful Bazaar Navideño! bazaar navideno altos de chavon

The day started wonderfully, with big crowds of tourists passing through and Casa de Campo villa owners stopping by to enjoy a little Christmas shopping, lunch at Gino In Trastevere with a chilled Presidente beer and the kids happily playing on the bouncy castles and the giant inflatable balls……but then it rained! A lot! Click here for photos of the Bazaar Navideño (part 1) – before the horrible rain!

Rain, rain – go away!!!! bazaar navideno altos de chavon

But with every great tragedy comes greatness – the Bazaar Navideño (part 2) will now take place this FRIDAY and SATURDAY and with 2 visits from Santa, the first annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade, and 2 ballet performances in the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater (the Nutcracker and the “Folklore to the 4 winds”) – part 2 promises to be even better! Here are a few photos of the rainy and destroyed Bazaar and of the crazy (yet wonderful) people who still showed up!
