On Friday the 3rd of June, the Abraham Lincoln School proudly opened it’s annual art exhibit, at the Altos de Chavon art gallery and in this post I bring you my numerous photos of the childrens very impressive art work! This art exhibit comprised of work by all the pupil’s, from grades 1 through 12 and even the pre-kinder and kinder classes of Central Romana’s Abraham Lincoln School in La Romana.

This year’s exhibit filled the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery with color!

The exhibit is a eclectic collection of different styles and artistic techniques – as the pupils learn and discover about the world of art and its many variations. I was particularly impressed by the work of the upper school artists; the life-size self portraits, the brightly colored abstract pieces and the New York inspired scenes. Whilst the pieces produced by the lower school pupils shows a high level of maturity in these young developing artists, I especially loved the animal drawings, brightly colored cray creations and the weaving. The Abraham Lincoln School, located within Central Romana, in the town of La Romana, is a private school for the children of employees of the Central Romana Corporation, but is also attended by other children who pay yearly tuition fees.
