The third version of the golf tournament “Copa Marina de Guerra” was a complete success. The event was held last Saturday June 22nd at the prestigious golf course Dye Fore in Casa de Campo and was organized by the Asociación de Esposas de Oficiales (Officer’s Wife’s Association), supported by the Dominican Federation of Golf (FEDOGOLF).
From early in the morning dozens of Officers of the Dominican Navy, joined by friends and family participated in this charity event, played for the last three years in Casa de Campo.

The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the realization of social good works for the benefit of the members of the institution and their families, with the support of the Dominican Navy (Marina de Guerra).

Among the various personalities who participated in the event was the Director of the Dominican Armed Forces, Sigfrido Pared Pérez, the trustee of the National District of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Salcedo, General Major Pedro A. Cáceres Chestaro, Vice minister of the Dominican Armed Forces, as well as, of course, the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Edwin Dominici Rosario, in addition to several businessmen, the officers’ wives, and many others.
Also taking part in the event was the Dominican Navy band, who performed at the inauguration of the tournament as wel as at the prize-giving ceremony–which was held in the afternoon, after the tournament finished, at the Flamboyant Conference Center in Casa de Campo.
