The organizers of the International Tennis Tournament “Copa Proseguros – Casa de Campo”, last week held a press conference in Casa de Campo, when they announced that this year’s event is scheduled to take place in the Casa de Campo resort in La Romana at the beginning from the 1st to the 4th of September.
Taking part in the press conference is Altos de Chavón was Carlos Romero, the executive vice-president of Proseguros, Vincenzo Mastrolilli, consultant to Proseguros and the founder of the event, as well as Emilio Vásquez, the director of tennis for the Casa de Campo Hotel La Romana.
The long standing tournament, which is now in it’s 34th year will be held at the La Terraza Tennis Center in Casa de Campo and already has more than 200 players registered to take part from across the Dominican Republic and around the world; Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Saint Croix, the USA, Spain and Italy with many more expected to sign up.
For the first time in the 34 year history of the International Tennis Tournament “Copa Proseguros – Casa de Campo”, talented tennis players will be able to compete in a doubles category.
Preparations are already being made by Casa de Campo and the tournaments organizers to ensure that this year the prestigious tournament will be as successful as in previous years. So if you’re into tennis – make sure you’re in Casa de Campo for the beginning of September, when you will get the chance to watch some world-class matches!

As you can see from the above photo (a collage of photos from last year’s event) – the Proseguros Tennis Tournament in Casa de Campo is a very popular event among Casa de Campo villa owners, residents, as well as being an event which attracts many visitors!
