The 2021 DR Open Amateur started with great amenities

The long-awaited DR Open Amateur, an event organized by the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf), began this Tuesday, October 5 until the 10th with great expectations and different activities to the delight of the participants.

More than 110 golfers, mainly from abroad, and another 100 guests and companions gather to enjoy the now traditional event oriented towards the international market, conceived by Fedogolf, in the interest of developing golf tourism in the Eastern Zone of the country.

“This event is a great opportunity for golf tourism in the country,” explained Rafael Canario, director of the event and director of Fedogolf.

The event, which began this Tuesday with rounds of practices, will have a welcome cocktail this Wednesday with the participants of the fair and the sponsors, the Reserve Bank and Mastercard.

This Thursday the competitions begin until Saturday.

The award ceremony for the 11th version of the tournament is scheduled for Saturday, at Minitas Beach, within the Casa de Campo complex.

The tournament will be played on the Teeth of the Dog, The Links, and Dye Fore fields, under the Stroke Play and Stableford modalities.
