The 12th edition of the DR Open Amateur 2022, in Casa de Campo, attracted 150 golfers and some 200 foreigners in a golf party that began this week.
The Dominican Golf Federation welcomed golfers from the United States, Argentina, Guadeloupe, Colombia, and the hosts, the Dominican Republic at the Casa de Campo Learning Center.
This week, the tournament is being played at the Dientes de Perro, The Links, and Dye Fore golf courses, sponsored by Mastercard Banreservas. They also support the amateur tournament Casa de Campo, Emilio’s, Brugal, and Light Sky.
The welcome cocktail was attended by players and part of the event organizers, including Rafael Canario, director of the event; Carlos Elmúdesi, president of Fedogolf; and directors of Casa de Campo, the Banco de Reservas, and special guests, according to a press release.
This federation, in the hands of its president, Carlos Elmúdesi, thanked the sponsors who make this emblematic event possible, which offers important support to national tourism, through this social segment. He also congratulated the leaders of the different countries represented, while Mr. Roque Del Giudice, from Banreservas, highlighted the importance of the bank’s alliance with Fedogolf.
On the other hand, Rafael Canario indicated that the competition is oriented towards the international market, conceived by Fedogolf, in the interest of developing golf tourism in the country, particularly in the Eastern Region, where there are 15 golf courses with premium quality standards.
