5th Annual Latin America Pro Am is in two weeks – Don’t forget to sign up!

Both amateurs and professionals are invited to play in the 5th Annual Latin America Pro-Am that will take place on the Teeth of the Dog August 6th – 10th. As in previous years, teams are formed with one professional and four amateurs, the field is limited so make sure you secure your spot by registering today!

The tournament will be a 54-hole team event, played on Teeth of the Dog, ranked in the top 50 in the world. The first round will be one net best ball, the second round will be one net and one gross best ball (cannot use the same golf ball) and the final round will be two net best balls. Teams will be divided into flights according to the total team handicap. Prizes will be awarded in each flight plus the overall team champion and the Overall Champion team will raise the “Champions Cup”! Other Contests include Daily Closest to the Pin for all players and Optional Net and Gross Skins and Hole in One Pot – US $60 cash.

Last year the event had 115 players plus non-golfers for a total of 150 participants from different countries which included Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA, and Canada. There were 24 teams, a record of participants in the history of the event! In the professional category, Rafael Guerrero Lauria won 1st place, while Julio Zapata came in 2nd and Luciano Giometti in 3rd. The tournament’s Overall Champion team included golf pro, Armando Lopez Ron, Oscar Martin, Oscar Yoshinori M, Jose Luis Velazquez, and Arturo Rubio.
