We are very sorry to announce that due to the rather horrible weather – the Nutcracker Suite Ballet and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony planned to take place on Saturday evening the 10th of December in the Altos de Chavón amphitheater has been postponed!
The good news is…..it was not been cancelled, just postponed! The Nutcracker Suite Ballet and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony are now scheduled to take place on Friday the 16th of December.

What about the Bazaar Navideño?
Sadly when you mix an outdoor bazaar with torrential rain it does not turn out well! The Bazaar Navideño (part 2) will be celebrated on Friday and Saturday the 16th and 17th of December, to coincide with the postponed Nutcracker Suite and the “Folklore a los cuatro vientos” ballet.
The schedule for the Bazaar Navideño (part 2) will now be as follows:
Friday December 16th
4pm: Bazaar Navideño (part 2) opens
4pm – 10pm: Shopping, eating, drinking and being merry!
4.30pm – 6.30pm: Visit from Santa Claus
7pm: The “Nutcracker” Ballet at the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Click here for more info!
Saturday December 17th
3.30pm: The 1st annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade! —– details to be confirmed!!!
4pm: Bazaar Navideño (part 2, day 2) opens
4pm – 10pm: Shopping, eating, drinking and being merry!

What about SANTA?
Despite the never-ending rain, many mums, dads and little ones turned out with hopes of seeing SANTA……but unfortunately the rain was so heavy and the wind so strong that Santa’s sleigh couldn’t fly! But don’t worry Santa will be in Altos de Chavón on the following days and times:
• Friday December 16th, 4.30pm – 6.30pm – during the Bazaar Navideño (part 2)
• Saturday December 17th, leading the Christmas Golf Cart Parade at 3.30pm!! (Details to be confirmed!)
• 12th, 13th, 15th, 19th and 21st of December, 5-7pm
