Semflé Genesis, a talented volleyball player from the Orfanato Niños de Cristo, an orphanage in La Romana town near to Casa de Campo has just won a spot on the Dominican National Youth Volleyball team!

Thanks to a generous donation by Mr. Mario Galleto, a Casa de Campo villa owner, the Orfanato Niños de Cristo now has it’s own volleyball court, where the girls of the Orfanato Niños de Cristo train with their trainer at least 4 times a week.

Following endless hours of training and hard work, 4 of the girls on the Orfanato’s Volleyball team had improved so much that Mr. Amos Anglada, the president of the La Romana volleyball association and Vice president of the Dominican Federation of Volleyball took the girls to the ‘National Centre of Development’ (Centro Nacional de Desarrollo) and it was here that Genesis was chosen to represent the Dominican Republic as a member of the National Youth Volleyball team.

Congratulations Genesis!
