From Wednesday, April 3 to Saturday, April 6, Alfy Fanjul hosted the 40th Annual Sugar Golf Tournament, welcoming more than 300 special guest golfers worldwide who enjoyed various social events and participated in what has become a Casa tradition.
Guests arrived at the resort on April 3, with players heading straight to the green for practice rounds while families enjoyed resort amenities. That evening, players gathered at Minitas Beachclub for a welcome cocktail, enjoying refreshing drinks and the ocean view.
Practice rounds persisted on Thursday, leading to the eagerly anticipated tournament rounds on Friday and Saturday. Amidst the lush greens, gentlemen tested their skills on the challenging courses of the Teeth of the Dog and the La Romana Country Club, while the ladies showcased their prowess on the beautiful fairways of the Dye Fore and the Links.
At the end of the Sugar golf tournament, players celebrated with a dinner-dance party at the La Romana Country Club in Casa de Campo, where prizes for net and gross divisions were handed out to the winners.
