One of the best golf players of all time, Annika Sörenstam, visited Casa de Campo Resort & Villas after enjoying a short vacation with her family in the Dominican Republic. The Swedish pro golfer also did not hesitate to choose one of Pete Dye’s designs at the # 1 resort in the Caribbean, the beautiful and challenging iconic Teeth of the Dog to play a few rounds of golf.

“I loved the golf course, it was a beautiful experience. I had the opportunity to play it with my husband Mike and my children Eva and Will. We had a fantastic time, it is an incredible place. I was fascinated by the landscape, especially in the first 9 holes, where the 5, 6, and 7 are bordering the Caribbean Sea, it is something really beautiful,” said the winner of 10 Majors and 72 victories on the LPGA Tour.

“In the second nine holes, we enjoyed the excellent conditions of the course, with challenging holes, but also very fair. Then, when you get to 15, 16, and 17, which are on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, the setting is truly spectacular. It was a truly amazing day. We love the place and we will return,” assured the president of the Annika Foundation and a member of the Hall of Fame since 2003.

Annika Sörenstam has contributed greatly (and still does so through her foundation) to the development of women’s golf in the world and was one of the fundamental pillars for golf’s return to the Olympics after more than 100 years.
