The weather in October in the Dominican Republic can be a bit unpredictable – with some unpleasant bouts of rain, but one thing that makes up for it are the spectacular sunsets!

Every year, starting from September, the most breathtaking sunsets can be enjoyed from several prime locations from within Casa de Campo. One wonderful place to enjoy the sunset from is Casa de Campo’s famous Pete Dye designed  golf course – the Teeth of the Dog.

The following series of photos were taken from the 8th hole of the Teeth of the Dog in the Casa de Campo resort, La Romana:

Before the sunset gets going – the moon is visible behind some Casa de Campo Villas

The sun begins to set to the East and creates a pink hue on the clouds out to sea

These photo were taken by Philip Silvestri, Casa de Campo Living’s executive editor and my wonderful boyfriend!

Some other great spots to enjoy the sunset in Casa de Campo are:

• The Marina Casa de Campo – along the ‘Paseo del Mar’ by the Victory Club
• The Marina Casa de Campo – whilst enjoying a drink at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club or one of the restaurants in the Plaza Portofino
• Altos de Chavón – at the Dye Fore Golf course terrace, you can’t actually see the sunset from this spot but it has a gorgeous view over the Chavón river, and across to the mountains of the Dominican Republic  (on a clear day)
